RP w/ ShayLlama

She dashed off, shoving through opponents and allies alike until they were at a spot surrounded by crushed stone. Not far ahead of them was a man. The same man from all those years ago, the night they met.
"Ah, Prince." The man chuckled. "Its nice to see you again."

"You..." He scowled, then sheathed his sword and summoned fire and lightning to his hands, "I beat you before, I'll beat you again."

"Hah! I doubt it."
Zoë moved around to his backside, opening her book and searching for her spell to kill instantly. The sorcerer didn't seem to notice her, focusing on Rune.

"I'm much stronger than last we met. I know much stronger spells as well."

"Ah, and me too. Why, just look around you! All this rubble?" He laughed. "Your men."

"They weren't expecting it, and they don't know how to dodge spells."

He created a grey ball of energy on the tip of his staff, pointing it towards Rune, but at the last moment spun around, hitting a spell-casting Zoë square in the chest.

Rune growled, immediately launching as much as magic as he could at the sorcerer, his eyes filling with tears.

The sorcerer laughed as he fell to the ground.
Zoë looked at Rune, reaching her hand out to him as the curse slowly enveloped her.

Rune ran up to the sorcerer and drew his sword, stabbing it right through the man's heart. He then looked up at Zoe, and he dropped to his knees, "Zoe..."

She smiled weakly and tears ran down her cheek as the magic finally spread to her head, leaving behind cold stone. Her book fell with a clunk to the ground, open to the spell she had been casting.

He started crying, then picked up the book, flipping through it to see if he could find some kind of counter-curse to save her. He moved up beside her stone body, to protect her from being destroyed.

Kalos, in his humanoid form, ran up behind him. "Prince!" The dragon shouted. "Your mother sent me to-......." He stared at Zoë.

Diva, that was evil! PURE EVIL! I'm literally crying right now...

Rune looked at him, "I've got to save her... Got to bring her back... She can't be dead. I won't believe it." His tears streamed down his face.

Its okay. She's not dead. I love her too much to permanently kill her off. Its sort of like she's.... in a coma.

Kalos shook his head sadly, "Don't get your hopes up, sir. Now come on. Your mother said your father has ordered a full retreat for now, and that I am to bring you to the castle."

"I'm not leaving her here. If I can't bring her with me, I'm not leaving at all until I find a way to bring her back."

"If you can carry her she can come." Kalos said, turning in to his dragon form. He brought his large tail up to Rune so he could climb on.

Rune nodded and picked her up, being as careful as he could, then he climbed on the dragon's back.

He soared in to the sky after collecting the rest of the survivors, scorching the enemy as he went.
-back at home-
The town surrounding the castle was still quiet as ever, aside from the bustling market place. Kalos landed by the castle grounds, letting everyone off. He turned back to a human and disappeared in to the nearby hedge maze.
Nightingale heard her childhood friend land and rushed out of the castle to find her son.

Rune carefully placed Zoe down, making sure she didn't fall. He stared at her, tears still falling down his face.

Night slowed down as she neared him, spotting Zoë, "R-rune.... is she....?" The queen stuttered, looking at the prince with wide eyes.

"She's NOT dead." He said, not even looking at her, "She's NOT dead and she's NOT going to die. I'm not going to let it happen."

"Oh, honey...." She sniffled, pulling him in to a hug. "My poor boy...."

"Let me go."

She frowned and stepped away, looking at him.
