"I came from a family near the gate... They raised me from a puppy."

"He didn't just.... take you, did he?"

"No. They gave me to him. He gave me meat..."

"Oh. I was a street dog before I got here."

"That's nice."

"Now, I'll show you the hedge maze." He laughed, wagging his tail and walking outside.

She followed, wagging her tail as well.

He barked at a rabbit so it scampered away from the nearby flowers, then entered the rows of tall bushes that was the maze.

She followed him, "What's in the maze?"

"Nothing much. Just flowers, but its pretty, and the little master likes to hide here so we need to know our way through."

"Oh... The little girl?"

He nodded, "Yeah. So, did you have a name before?" The husky asked, working his way almost expertly through.

"Yes. Nona."

She is also a husky, by the way. Figured that'd be useful.

"Nona, eh? That's a pretty name."

"Thank you."

"Uhuh. Now, I can take you to see Rune, if you want, or we can go back to Gawn and Tri. Unless there's something else you wanna do or see."

"Rune? Can I meet Rune?"

He nodded, "Follow me." Dallas went quietly back to the castle, over to the stairs inside, and started up towards Rune's room. When they got there, he whined and scratched at the sorcerer's door.

Rune walked over and opened the door, then he chuckled, "Hello Dallas. Who's this?"

"Nona. Gawnyll got her for Sara and Trienna." He explained. "She wanted to meet you."

Nona looked at Rune.
Rune smiled, "Ah. Should I make her able to speak? I'd like to be able to speak directly to her. Could you ask her?"

He looked at her, "Hey, do you want to be able to speak human?" He asked.

She cocked her head to the side, "What?"

"He knows magic that can allow you to speak with him. That's why I can talk with Gawnyll. Do you want to be able to talk to Rune and Trienna?"

"Yes."
