He walked over behind her and placed a hand on her shoulder, "Brilliant, isn't it? I met one of my old friends in a battle such as this one, just in Rome. He was a gladiator, I believe, though I may be wrong. I've regenerated since then. My memory's somewhat foggy." He smiled at her, "I wouldn't advise leaving the TARDIS. You could alter the entire time-space continuum with one step. Perhaps you'd scare someone into firing and killing someone important, which would lead to a very different future than you've seen. Or maybe they'd all fire at you, and that could also alter the future.

"....." She just stood there, staring at Ticonderoga with wide eyes, watching Ethan Allen and his men carry weapons and soldiers away.

"We can also visit other planets. Perhaps you'd like to meet a Martian?"

"I was here...." she mumbled.

"What do you mean?"

"I was here. I was fighting alongside these men." She said. "I.... I helped make America a country. I believed in their cause..."

"Well, that's beautiful. Shall we go? I don't much care for battles, and we don't want to create a terrible paradox. You can't let yourself then see you now, you know."

She turned around and hugged him, "We're all alone..."

He hugged her back, "That we are. The only two living members of our kind. I suppose I should tell you what happened to the others..." He pulled her away from the doors, closing them, "I chose Earth."

She bit her lip, listening intently.

"I destroyed Gallifrey, and all of the others of our kind, to save Earth and its people." He sighed and turned away from her, "We're solitary so that Earth and its people can live."

She nodded.

He looked back at her, "I'd imagined you'd be angry at me..."

"I can't be angry at you."

Doot doot

"Well, you can. And the anger would be perfectly reasonable."

She shook her head, "I think I need a nap though."

He held out a hand, "Well, come on. I'll show you to where you can sleep."

Mommy and I are watching Doctor Who together.

She took his hand.

Skip? My mommy hates Doctor Who. :'(

Yeah. Maybe a year spent together in the Tardis? You start.

Eli sat in one of the TARDIS bedrooms, running a brush through her red hair. She yawned and set the brush down, then began to braid it. When she was done she left the room, heading towards the console room where she knew the Doctor would be.

The Doctor sat on a bench, his eyes closed, thinking, his legs crossed.

She went up and sat beside him, but didn't interrupt his thoughts with small talk.

He opened his eyes and looked at her, "Hello, Eli. How are you doing?"
