"Isn't your sister the same age as you? And no. I wanna date you."

She stood and walked over, hugging him, "Thank you!"

Had school today.

"I'm older by an hour and forty minutes." He said. "And what?"
Ehan rolledhis eyes.

I had a half day.

"I'm sure you heard!"

Lexxia smiled, "How can you help me? How do I become an assassin?"

"I'll take you to the fortress next time I'm called. But, just so that you know, if and when a woman becomes an assassin, she must remain a virgin and cannot love anyone whilst she serves under the order."

She nodded, "Okay... Why?"

"Ugh.... I guess I'll just go if you aren't going to answer."

He shrugged, "Beats me, doll, but its a rule."

"Why?" He asked.

"They should change that." Lexxia said, "Do you agree?"
"Because I like you."

He just shrugged, "You sound like your mom." Ehan informed her.
"You just met me."

"You don't have to know someone to like them."

"I do? I wasn't trying to."

"Your mom always used to complain about the laws concerning couples in the future. If we found a way to go back now, you and your brother would be illegal."
"I'm pretty sure you do."

"Why?"

"No you don't. I've just heard a few things about you and you seem cute, so..."

"Once again, beats me, but its a rule." He cleared his throat, then said in a fake voice, "I doth declare that all men are created free and equal so long as they are white."

He rolled his eyes, "who told you this?"

Lex giggled and hugged him again, not letting go, "I love you daddy."

"People just said you were dorky and weird..."

"Gh...." he scowled, crossing his arms. "Dorky?"
"I love you too, doll."

She nodded.

Lex smiled.

"I most certainly am not 'dorky.'" He growled, clearly offended.

"Okay. You're not. You still haven't answered my question... Well, it wasn't really a question... But... You get the point.
