Laura followed, looking around.

Reese winked at Laura, "Who's this pretty lass, Detective Sayf?"
"My kriminalist. Do me a favor and get her a pen and notebook. She needs notes." He said, sighing.
Reese nodded.

She smiled, and her excitement was through the roof. She looked at Ehan, smiling, and her thanks rang in her eyes.

He returned the smile, then turned to the dead bodies, "We need to identify these bodies." He mumbled.
Reese handed Laura a pen and notepad before exiting the building.

Laura stood next to him, confused at what to do at first, then she figured it out and began to jot down notes on what was happening.

He chuckled and looked at her. "I need to get these bodies to Hastings. He can give us an idea."

She nodded.

Please... I want something to happen to Laura... Remember the warning her mother have her? Perhaps one of Ehan's coworkers could make an advance on her? I want to RP out that scenario.

Ehan left the room quietly after leaving Hastings in his lab with the bodies and Laura. He needed some think time... why were the men killed? Who killed them?
Hastings grinned sorta sideways at Laura, "Hello, miss."

Laura looked at him, "Hello." She smiled kindly.

"You're very pretty. You belong to Sayf?" He asked, motioning towards the door.

"No, I don't. I don't belong to anyone." Laura replied.

He chuckled, "Good. The boy knows interracial is illegal."

She sighed, "Is it really? That's stupid." She thought for a moment, "Someone should change that. Don't you agree?"

"Nah. Blacks should marry blacks. Whites should stay with whites." He shrugged.

"I don't think race matters."

"You could get in trouble for saying that, y'know?" He said, taking a step towards her. "In fact, I think you'll get in trouble now. This is my lab, after all."

"Don't touch me." Laura said, backing up.

"Yeah. Don't touch her." Ehan growled.
Hastings raised his hands defensively and backed up, then got back to work.

Laura smiled, "Thanks Ehan..."

"Yeah, no problem." He muttered a little in Arabic at Hastings before taking her by the wrist and leaving. "Are you okay, doll?"

She nodded, "Yes. Thanks to you."

"Good to hear. I'll get you home, unless you want to do further research."

"I'd rather not go home yet, if that's alright?"
